"The Forest" was given its World Premiere on Saturday, June 18th, 2005 by the Amato Opera. Composed by Zeke Hecker, it was directed by Irene Frydel Kim with Music Direction by Philip Cheah. Scenic Designers were Riccardo Berlingeri and John Kim with Costumes Designed by Rineke Akkerhuis. The Cast featured Nathan Hull (Bear), Robert S. Silver (Wolf), Alice Heatherington (Queen of the Birds), Bernard Milan (King of the Birds), Ann Bierne (Fox), and Gabriella Weinstein, Peter Diller & Alysa Asaro as the Baby Wrens. The Creatures of the Sky were Martha Bennett (Hornet), Gabriel Brill (Bat), Natalya Brill (Owl), and as the Gnats, Anna Goldelman and Genna Gosciak. The Creatures of the Ground were Joanna Asaro (Mouse), Grant Kaiser (Moose), Penelope Papp (Raccoon) and Zack Weinstein (Skunk).
